Golden Hour in Chicago

Angela and Myles are amongst the sweetest, coolest and funniest couples I have ever had the honor of photographing. Added bonus, they had the perfect vision for their engagement session. They wanted a good blend of nature and city and Angela had the cutest white mini dress planned for the 2nd half of the session with champagne and vintage champagne glasses.

Since they’re in Chicago and I’m all way in Milwaukee they went ahead and did some scouting for me and found this gem of a spot- Milton Lee Olive Park. I’ve been able to hop around Chicago a bunch the past couple years for weddings and engagements but this spot has got to be my favorite. This was indeed the perfect blend of nature and city.

And, the way the sun started setting behind the city and how beautifully it lit up the water… I literally couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful set.

We had so many laughs during this session and things just felt so at ease and natural with these two. They were down for whatever creative idea I had in mind and as blue hour was setting in and we were starting to walk back to our cars I spotted the beach. I looked at the two of them and asked if they were down for a few last photos there just to see what we get and it was an immediate YES.

And, the photos we got- I mean… you might as well see for yourself! This session certainly lives rent free in my head.
